The Life And Times Of Stephanie Marie

Well, this weekend has been pretty freakin’ good so far! Went to a going away party on Saturday. Had a good time! I slept in this morning thanks to my prince, Daniel. When I woke up it was time to scurry out the door to meet the gang (Rob, Beth, Nick, Shawnee, Kristi, Kelly, Syenna, and Paul) at the pumpkin patch for a great time! We took SO many pictures and just overall had an amazing time. The corn maze was okay, although it wasn’t very good because the frost had hit and pretty much cut it in half. It was still fun! Maybe next time I’ll be a little smarter and see that a few of the paths were circles! Hey, Beth? Hahaha..

After that, Madison and I came home and then rushed out to Uncle Terrys for dinner! Yummmyyy lasagna and pie. Mmmm.. The girls went crazy running back and forth at his house.

Tomorrow we go to my parents for dinner! I’m pretty excited about it. My mom always has the biggest turkey, and the best stuffing! Mmm…. Good thing I have a gym pass, HAHAHA…

Apparently I’m lacking in the blogging department. I’ve run out of things to say already!

Well, since it’s thanksgiving weekend, thought I’d get in the spirit My chicken (Yes, I’m aware that should say turkey. I’m making a stand :p) is defrosting nicely for tomorrow night and I’m actually quite excited for the weekend! Tonight Dan’s friend Corey is coming over for dinner. I still have NO idea what I’m making for dinner, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Saturday is our turkey *cough* dinner and then I’m off to a farewell parrrrtttyy for a friend. Sad… But it’s gonna be a good time. Sunday I take my girl Madison to do pumpkin picking! Woo hoo! Should be an amazing time.. Also going over to Uncle Terry’s to have dinner with him. Monday is thanksgiving dinner with my parents. What a busy weekend! Hoollyyy wow! Pretty excited about it all.

 Today I’m off to find a cake pan for a client. I made a facebook group on well, facebook! Haha… Promoting my business. I’m hoping it goes really well. I already have a cake to do.. YAY!

With the approach of Brooklyn’s birthday, I’m getting excited! It’s being held at a really amazing coffee house for kids, called Sip and Safari. Only thing that kinda sucks is that you have to get any food brought in delivered, or right from there. I guess it’s because of insurance issues, but no worries. The food there is really good so we’ll just use that. It’s Halloween themed  so I’m making some pretty freakin cute cupcakes.. I hope!

Only 7 more days until B.C!!!! Wooo Hooooooo!! I can’t believe how fast it came. Definitely excited to do some baby shopping and who amd I kidding? Some shopping for me, haha.. I’m mostly excited to see Pat and Neil. It’s been about 2 years now, and before that a good 6 years! I haven’t been on a plane since I was… Wow, I couldn’t tell you. And it’ll be Brooklyn’s first time..

Anyways, today is a fairly busy day so I better get at her.

Wow, second day in a row. I must be crazy! haha..

After hitting up the zoo today, Madison is watching Dora, and Brooklyn is fast asleep. I’m researching school (as usual!) and debating the finer things in life. Who knew!? Do I want to do Accounting? Human Resources? Financial Advisor? Health and Public Safety? Mortuary tech?  Nooooo idea.. Kidding on the last one by the way.

Does anyone know what to do with an avocado plant? I started growing the bad boy a few weeks ago and now it’s too big for my biggest cup! I may just go to home depot and get a pot for it.. Who needs another excuse to go shopping? Pppffttt…

Mmmm, I just finished my Naked drink.. It’s a 100% fruit in every bottle, and OHHHH boy is it amazing! The Mighty Mango is the only one I like. I highly suggest it!

Did I mention I’m going to BC? Yahooooo! I’m off in a little over 2 weeks to go and spend a couple days with the Boyles. Since I can only really bring one baby with me, and Pat and Neil haven’t met her yet, I’m bringing Brooklyn with me. I’m estatic!

I’ve gotten the girls their halloween costumes.. Speaking of the girls, Brooklyn is up! Will write lata..

I told myself I’d write as much as I could as often as possible. Apparently I was just THAT busy during the last six months! No.. Not exactly. I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been pretty freakin’ busy.

 My family is doing amazing. Brooklyn is going to be a year old soon, and Madison is going to be three next April! Daniel got a new job working at Sanjel. He’s really happy there, which is all that matters. Rory is doing well too. She got parvo, and was really sick for awhile, but she’s back to her hyper, non-stop, olddddd self.

I’ve been doing a lot of personal improvements. It’s been a hard road so far, but I know in the end, getting rid of things and people that are poisionous to me will be better for everyone in my life. In a way it makes me really sad. I’ve lost a couple people I never thought I’d lose. It was very hard, and I didn’t like it at all, but things weren’t working out and no one was happy in the situations. Who knows what the future holds. But all I can say is I know I did the right thing. I can’t help but be proud of myself and the person I am becoming.

I was hoping I’d have a lot more to talk about seeing as this is my first post in a very long time, but oh well.

I’m still working on becoming a cake decorator, although it’s going quite slowly. I know I should try and advertise more, I’m just scared to take on something I can’t do. I’m still quite an amateur, but I’m hoping with more practise I’ll become a lot better. I have NO idea what I want to do as a career still. I’m hoping I’ll have a vision or something and it’ll tell me what I need/want to be. Anyone? hehehe

I’m out of things to write. I KNOW there’s more but I’m not really feeling that creative today!

Wow.. When I said April was going to be busy, I sure didn’t think it was going to be like this..

The surprise baby shower was pretty fun. I had a great time hanging out with people, it was just a little overwhelming. I want to to event planning, but I want to NOT be there hahaha.. Just kidding. I’ll get used to being around adults more, I just need some practise.. How sad is that?

I’ve got some most amazing news. I’ve been sending messages to random people on Facebook, trying to find some of my biological family.. (insert the yes, I am adopted here) Anyways, out of no where, I get a message from someone saying hey, if you know so and so, then I’m your brother. Just like that, I’ve been found. And then the same day, he gave me contact information for my biological sister… OMG.. I could barely handle it that night. 3 down, 7+ to go… How bad is that?? I’ve got a LOT of work ahead of me. So, if anyone knows how to search for people other than Facebook, let me know!

I’ve started working with Avon, and Melaleuca. I love both their products, so I was kind of excited to jump on board. And hey, maybe it won’t be for me, but at least I’m giving it a shot, right? I love meeting new people and I love talking to anyone and everyone so maybe this is what I need to get out there.. Now all I need is a job for my photography and cake decorating and I’m allll set… Oh, who am I kidding? I’m so putting too much on my plate. As long as I’m not overly busy and I’m still able to tend to my kids as much as they need, I’m happy.

This weekend coming up is very exciting.. Not only is it the weekend for Madisons birthday, but my full bio brother and his beautiful family are coming to stay! We bought an air mattress, but who are we kidding? Sleep? I don’t think so. Not when there’s a party to be had!! hehehe. I’m also going to a birthday party for Chanelle. VERY exciting. I love the place the party is at, so it will be a lot of fun.

My parents are coming back soon! Only 2 more months! Tra la la la.. I think I’m mostly excited because I don’t have to do their mail anymore.. What hard work! And don’t even get me started on the taxes.. lol.

I just ordered some leg warmers off of CholeInStyle.. (Thanks Sarah!!) I hope Brooklyn does well with them. I don’t really know what I was thinking ordering them right before summer is about to begin, but the way I see it, it’ll be good for when she starts to crawl. And then hey, I can bring them to Sproutz and get some money back.

Wow, I’m pretty all over the place.. I guess that’s what happens when all I can hear is a clock counting down until the girls wake up and mayhem hits.. 3…2…1… Oh boy, not up yet. I SHOULD be cleaning, but procrastination is my middle name.

But seriously.. I should go clean…

What a hectic week. Just when we thought nothing more could fit into this month, the girls and I got the dreaded stomach bug Brooklyn got it the worst and ended up taking a trip to the hospital, but she’s geting much better now.

Tomorrow we go to Aggie Days at the round up center.. I’m hoping Madison has a great time!

Sunday is the baby shower for my amazing friend, and I’m getting super excited. I really hope everyone comes so that we can all have an amazing time! I just hope I can find somewhere close by that can fill up the balloons with helium.

Not really much else to write. . . Things are going pretty well over here. That’s always good.

Today was a very good day! I went to Beths baby shower, but it was my first time leaving Brooklyn at home… That was a little stressful, but at the same time, I’m pretty relieved that Brooklyn can take a bottle. Needless to say, the shower was a lot of fun.

I have to say that today really isn’t a day to be writing much on my blog. I’m so very tired, and saying anything smart and funny isn’t really coming to me at all.

Tomorrow I take my baby girl swimming (Madison). WOO HOO!!!!! It’s the only “alone” time we get at the moment.

Yup, it’s official. This is the most boring blog I’ve ever written. You think with the kind of month we’re going to have, I’d have more to say.

How does a parents describe the sense of victory they feel for their child when their child does something new and amazing? Especially when it’s not a huge milestone, more of a step towards being a big girl?

I’m currently at my cousin Alicia’s house. I had only intended on staying for the morning, but it turns out I cancelled my Mary Kay appointment so that I could stay a little longer. I was worried about the girls going down for a nap, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I put Brooklyn down with no problem, and then came time for Madison.. I had two choices. A small mattress on the floor, or a crib set up for a baby…. I opted for the mattress. I gave Madison her bubba, and put the pillow for her to lay down. I put the nice fuzzy blanket on her and walked out. I absolutely expected her to finish the bubba, then go around touching things and playing. Ten minutes later, after no noise, I peeked in and the bubba hadn’t even been touched.. There was Madison, fast asleep! This could not only be the end of the bubba, (YAY!!!!!) but the confirmation that she is in fact ready for her big girl bed. I could almost cry.

I’ve uploaded some (trying?) beautiful pictures of Jacint, Brooklyn and Madison on Facebook. I have to say that I’m pretty impressed by some of the pictures that came out. Jacint is a beautiful little boy!

Don’t have too much time left to write. Hopefully I can write later…

Well, after a VERY successful visit to Home Depot, I have found the perfect colour for the girls’ room. It’s a pale purple. I’m hoping to find some pretty stencils in the next few days so that I can add those on top! Not really sure what to do for that yet, but there’s still some time. We originally went to Home Depot to pick up blinds… Can you believe we’ve been living here half a year, and we still have towels and garbage bags as blinds? *shakes head* For some reason we had it in our heads that the blinds were going to cost a fortune. For two sets of blinds, it came out to just under 70$.  I can’t believe it. Here we were after all this time changing out the garbage bags once they shrunk from the heat….. Okay, you can laugh… Now!

What a beautiful day! We went to Chinook centre this morning while waiting for our cousin and sister in law to come. We picked up a few shirts for Madison, and a cute onsie for Nicholas. His baby shower is this weekend, but I was hoping to give it to her today instead. It doesn’t need to be added to the stuff we got for the baby shower Unfortunately (for me!), an appointment opened up for Nicholas to see the doctor, so we’ll reschedule for another day. I just hope it’s before Saturday!!!!

The girls are now sleeping, and I have some time to just sit back and relax. Telus came this morning and fixed my fizzled modem, so I’m not worried about the connection dropping while I write this! I don’t know how I’m going to manage my time when Madison no longer takes naps. I love having this couple hours to unwind, and get ready for the next shift

 I’m hoping Daniel will want to go to the park today with the girls. It’s not too cold out and the sun is just amazing today. You can always tell when I run out of things to say when I start talking about the weather……… hehehe… Cue baby… Now!

This morning at 5am Daniel came to me… “Uhh, baby? I slept in.. Can I take the car?”  So much for visiting our cousin today Being at home is so dreadful. I’m not sure why I hate it so much. Maybe the lack of space? We live in a 968 square foot condo. It’s beautiful, but too small. Anyways, to celebrate staying at home, I started some spring cleaning! Wooo hooo… At least I have another garbage bag full of clothes to bring to Sproutz kids. It’s a great consignment store in Calgary. You don’t even need to make an appointment, just drop off the clothes and wait awhile!

Oh! I wanted to say a huge congrats to Dawn, David and Amber Reinhart! They had their baby Austin on March 18, and he is just so gorgeous!

My toes are finally all healed from the nail removal *blech!* that happened about a month ago. I can finally get back in that kitchen and start baking cakes again! Not to mention now I can do more DDR… Oohhh what a great game! If you ever want a good work out, come on over and we’ll load up the DDR.

I realised that some of you may not know what I look like. I’ll attach a picture!
