This past weekend, one of my best friend’s son’s turned one! ONE already!!! Where does the time go? I remember clear as day - last July - being at her baby shower, rubbing her beautiful pregnant belly and feeling so happy for her. I also remember that phone call - announcing the arrival of their son. She was finally get what she had for so long hoped for. Her baby/her child.
He is such a cutie, and we all adore him! But, Myles - wow - he looks huge next him! I still see Myles as my *lil baby* - but seeing him beside a one year old - makes me realize time is going way too fast! Happy 1st Birthday Jr! We love you oodles!

This weekend also found us at Ribfest - which is something we look forward to every year. We are full fledge rib lovers and have our certain favorite ribbers. They come from all over US and Canada to cook up some ribs, chicken and pulled pork - all hoping to walk away with different awards.

Our favorite was Silver Bullet, we think they had the best sauce - but people’s choice ended up going to Boss Hogs! I have to admit the chicken was awesome.
They also added in a mid way this year. I am so happy to say - we actually got Myles on a few rides. It must be something he is grown into, as prior years at various events - there wasn’t a chance.
We spent the whole weekend there and enjoy’d everything from ribs, to a bloomin onion - which I’ll have to remember to get pics of next year!
The event was well enjoy’d by all, however I think Myles favorite was the corn.
