A family in Progress

It was a pretty eventful weekend. Saturday afternoon we headed to the Miko warehouse to do some shopping. Or as Myles put it - we need to get toys! LOL! We spent the weekend at my in laws in Woodbridge, so Richmond Hill wasn’t much further. Myles did walk away with a few treats as well as a new Koala Brothers water bottle and sandwich container. The school Myles is to be attending is September is environmentally compliant - so there were on the *to purchase* list anyway. I also manage to purchase a few Christmas gifts for him - while he was with us. I thought for sure these days were long gone! LOL Although from time to time he will mention his *car wash*. Gord and I, being the evil parents we are - simply reply what car wash? It’s at the toy store! I also picked up birthday gift for my friends lil guy. All in all I’d say it was worth the trip.

On the way back to my In Laws we popped into IKEA. It just so happens it was on the way - so it was easy to convince Gord. LOL! We picked up a new floor lamp and a couple of nightstand lamps - one for our room and one for Myles room - for $5 a piece. I also managed to pick up some new cat food bowls for .25.

Sunday we headed to the Toronto Zoo. My mother in law had to work, so it was my BIL who tagged along. The weather wasn’t too bad. We had spurts of cold and then spurts of hot. The exciting part was that it was Myles first time. He got such a kick out of the animals - however they were a few in which he told us were too scary!!

His favorite part - I’d have to say was chasing the sea gulls! LOL Myles made sure they stayed away while we were having lunch!

I was very proud of him - he was very good all day! It was really nice too that it wasn’t too hot - as many of the animals were up and roaming around.
