As I prepare my contribution to my parents thanksgiving dinner, I think to myself…”wow, I am truly blessed!”  I have a great family, great kids and a great life.  I have lots to be thankful for this year.

Usually I prepare the turkey, but this year my parents are having us all over for dinner.  Each of us are taking a dish.  I was hoping to nab the “dessert” but my older brother got it before me.  Growing up, both my parents worked, so he was the sitter, meal maker etc.  He is an awesome cook and enjoys baking and making jarred goods as well.  His pickled beets are amazing!   My contribution this year?  Rolls and turnip.   We are also having spaghetti squash, stuffing, carrots from mom’s garden, potatoes romanov, home made gravy, chicken and a ham….yummmm!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
