With all this talk of protectionist economic policy from our neighbours to the South, I thought I would take some time to look around the inter-web for some “buy Canadian” websites. They do exist, although to my dismay they are few and far between. I found a few very good ones, a few that are really lists of Canadian distributors and some that are masquerading as Canadian business.
If you know of any websites that promote Canadian made products, please send the details my way as surely I am not alone in my search to reduce my ecological footprint in as many ways as possible.
I will get the ball rolling with a site that I recently found.
As a new father I was very excited to find www.buycanadianforkids.ca (links through to www.wildminds.ca )for a couple of reasons. Firstly they are actually relatively obscure despite the patriotic naming and concept behind the company. Secondly they actually have a pretty good selection of Canadian made products for kids.
