We knew the day would come that my husband’s car would be no longer - but we were kind of hoping it would not be NOW! We are like most families, two kids, two jobs and a lot of activities to get to.
The news that the second car was not worth saving meant we had to decide whether we would replace it or go without it. For now, we are going to go without it. It will be hard but we are going to try for awhile anyway. My husband takes the train into work most of the time so that part will not be an issue BUT getting to hockey, piano, basketball, choir, swimming AND to the train station to pick him up is going to be a CHALLLENGE!
Of course the upside is lower car insurance, less gas (BIG PLUS!) and more time together.
So, wish us luck… and if you are a ONE car family - share some of your tips with me to help us make the switch!
Helen
