Zambi the Baby Elephant is a Special Edition FURREAL FRIENDS baby African elephant that will delight children as he really “comes alive.” Not only does Zambi move his trunk but he blows kisses and makes trumpeting, chewing and giggling sounds when you pet his back. Zambi was created to help children who have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa. Some of these children even helped by creating the artwork for ZAMBI’s ears, feet and bracelet.

By welcoming Zambi into your home and wearing the bracelet included with purchase, you can show your support for Project Zambi. Hasbro has committed to donate a minimum of $500,000 from worldwide sales of ZAMBI THE BABY ELEPHANT to the Project Zambi Fund, part of the Hasbro Children’s Fund.

What Canadian Parents are saying…

We love Zambi the baby elephant so much that we are going to get one for Grandma (a big elephant lover) this Christmas. Our 6 year old daughter loves the sweet noises Zambi makes and despite the fact this Furreal friend’s body is hard, it is still very cute and cuddly. As parents, we like the lesson that we can offer our children about orphaned children in Africa (and around the world) and supporting worthy causes. — Lily & Eva

What Canadian Parents are saying…

Zoobies are the most adorable stuffed toys I have ever purchased for my kids. In just a few seconds the stuffed toy goes from a cute little friend to a pillow and then a blanket. The material is soft and comfortable and the blanket on the regular sized Zoobie is large enough for me to cuddle with the kids! – Lori & Cali

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

The blanket that is stored inside can be removed (there is a zipper) for washing.

PixOs magically joins together with water. No messy ironing to do! Pop the pixOs onto the tray to make fabulous creations of all kinds, even in 3D! Choose from a large selection of template patterns or go online to create your own! (Spin Master Ltd. Ages 4+)

What Canadian Parents are saying…

Our 9 year old daughter really wanted to try PixOs out after she saw the commercial on television. We found the initial use a bit of a learning curve but with the help of the templates and patience we were able to create a number of designs. The main unit needs to be setup and a parent can easily put it together. – Pauline & Sadie

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

The box suggests ages 4 and up but our experience tells us that a little older might be better for this product. The pieces a small and I think a young child would get frustrated. The older kids really had fun and didn’t require any help once we got it up and running.

The Rally Racer is fun on wheels with Adventure Guide ‘Rudi Tootin’ on board, to help drive imaginative play. When a child rolls the Dune Buggy forward, it triggers the generator that fuels the lights and motor sounds and with no batteries needed, the fun is endless.
By harnessing natural kinetic energy, the pump powered revving action brings the lights and sounds to life. Kids are rewarded for their efforts with engaging lights and sounds, fueling their imaginations and encouraging them to play longer.
Sprig Toys always feature the exclusive SprigWood, composed of recycled plastics and wood. It makes use of reclaimed products such as PP (Polypropylene), saw dust, rice husk, and palm fiber, while featuring a real wood smell.
All SprigWood toys are safe and tested. They are BPE, PVC, and phthalate free. Ages 3+.

Sprig vehicles can be found at specialty children’s stores, nationally at Indigo and Chapters or online at chapters.indigo.ca

What Canadian Parents are saying…

We loved that this little car only had two pieces- the Rally racer and the cute little wooden guy Rudi, my little guy kept calling him Woody though! It is very rugged, and the wheels are soft rubber so you don’t need to worry about it creating scratches on your floors. You’ll notice that Sprig also uses old computer parts as the connector for Rudi to attach to the car is actually a mini-USB connector! My husband thought that was pretty neat. The other cool thing is when you pump the back of the Racer, Rudi’s helmet light starts to shine! No batteries needed for this either, a definite plus!

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that these toys are actually Made in Canada! For something to compliment your Rally Racer you can even download colouring pages at the Sprig Toys Website.

Give little imaginations the perfect place to bloom – and set up shop! – with this adorable market playhouse. Standing just over four feet tall, the exterior is adorned with blooming flowers printed on the double-sided fabric walls. Inside depicts a sideboard crawling with pantry staples, jars of yummy “treats” on the windowsill and a real fabric curtain above the window. Little shoppers can order from the walk-up window, while the store clerk works inside, pretending to pack and sell the freshest “fruits” and “vegetables,” or make imaginative “ice cream” creations for friends! Transactions are made on the play cash register that comes with play money, while the “clock” on the wall lets everyone know how long until closing time. Moms and Dads will find the lightweight structure simple to move and nest DREAM TOWN accessories (sold separately) for fast, easy storage. Who would’ve thought that the best place for your little girl to play store is located in the nicest neighborhood she knows - your very own home! Ages 3+

What Canadian Parents are saying…

The Cherry Blossom Market was easy to set up and take down. The little cash register is cute and comes with a credit/debit card, extra large coins and some paper money. It was a lot of fun playing in this little shop and a great way to teach and reinforce the concept of money to your toddlers and preschoolers.

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

If you don’t already own play food you may want to pick up one of the accessories that go with the Cherry Blossom Market. One other thing you may want to do is laminate the paper money to have it last a little longer.

Digital cameras allow us to snap photos on a daily basis, which in turn allows us to capture all the special moments in our family lives. Ask anyone with a digital camera and they’ll tell you that they take more photos than ever before, but they’ll probably also tell you that they take more pictures than they develop!

To help us solve this problem, Posterjack.ca is helping us weed through the myriad of photos on our computer to bring special photos to life.

With just three simple steps your favourite photo will go from digital to poster size. Posterjack offers competitive prices and a simple ordering process. All that you have to do is locate the photo on your computer, select your finish and size (sizes range from 8×12 to 40×60 plus panorama, square and SLR) and press upload.

The next screen will show you your photo and order details. You can easily change the size and shape of poster and the system will determine if the image is suitable for the size selected.

Photo posters are shipped in a sturdy mailing tube, anywhere in Canada. To order, visit www.posterjack.ca.

What CanadianParents are saying…

I had a photo of my son playing hockey, it was one of those really special photos that “needed” to come to life. The standard 5×7 and 8×10 at our local photo-finishing store just didn’t do it justice – we wanted something big that we could frame and hang in our family room.

Posterjack’s enlargement service was the answer to our problem and ordering was so simple. The photo paper quality is top notch, the clarity is crystal clear - the ends result is better than we could have ever expected – and all at an affordable price! We have photo posters in both coloured and black-and-white and both are simply amazing!

We’re so glad we found posterjack.ca because ordering the poster was quick and easy and the end result is a masterpiece.

Brewing an imaginary pot of tea is a really good thing for the earth when young hosts use the environmentally friendly Tea Set from Green Toys. Made of recycled plastic, this 17-piece set includes a Tea Pot with Lid, a Sugar Bowl with Lid, a Creamer, 4 Cups, 4 Saucers, and 4 Teaspoons. The Green Toys Tea Set is made from recycled plastic milk containers that save energy, reduce landfill waste and lower greenhouse gas emissions, and has no BPA, phthalates or lead paint. (Green Toys. Ages 3+)This Tea Set can be found at specialty children’s stores, nationally at Indigo and Chapters or online at chapters.indigo.ca

What Canadian Parents are saying…

We tested this eco friendly tea set in a kindergarten classroom to see if it would hold up. Here’s what Kindergarten teacher, Deb L. shared with us.”After a full week of use in our classroom we are happy to report that the tea set is still going strong. The dishes are much sturdier than the regular dishes we had (which break when they get run over by the wheels of the bookshelf which serves as a divider for our house centre). The teapot was a huge hit. It has instantly created a tea party station. The dishes have a nice texture, which I think will reduce the appearance of dirt on the dishes. I would say this is a great set of dishes for a classroom or a home playroom. Not only for the fact that they are a green toy, but they feel more durable and have held up well. “– Deb L. & her Kindergarten class.

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

A kindergarten teacher would love a set of these green dishes. Get a group of parents together and surprise the teacher with a gift she will use!

See the learning unfold! Where should we go today—the doctor, the pet shop or the tree house to play? Whether kids travel all over Learn About Town with Sonya Lee® and Eddie™ or just stay in one spot, they can open, close, press, and drop their way to lots of songs and sounds and learning fun! After all, it’s four play sets in one! Includes articulated Sonya Lee and Eddie, table and two chairs, easel, delivery truck, 10 “apple” disks and three “pizza” disks. Conveniently folds for storage. Product plays the full ABC song.* Requires 3 “AA” batteries. (Fisher Price Ages 2-5)

What Canadian Parents are saying…

This is a really nice toy and one our three young children can play with together. It folds up and is easy to take on the road, carrying it with the built in handle. We really like that there are a number of different buildings and learning opportunities. The kids love the ABC song, the pizza shop and apple tree as it counts the apples they put into the tree. – John and Heather

Tips & Tricks worth mentioning…

Our kids are 2, 3 and 5 and the two youngest kids like this better than the older child so I would say the best age might be 2 to 4.

This year students can fill their backpacks with the Pistachio Back to School Notebook collection and know that their purchase will have a direct impact on the environment. The notebooks are made from 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, printed with vegetable-or soy-based ink in a wind-powered Canadian print shop. Kids will be proud to tell fellow students and teachers that the recycled paper used in the Pistachio Back to School Collection helped to save 387 trees, divert 11,166 kg of solid waste and use 1,056,259 L less water than if the collection were made of virgin fibres.

The collection comes in a variety of colourful and inspiring designs and features a Large Three Subject Notebook, Large One Subject Notebook, and Medium Three Subject Notebook (each sold separately).

Pistachio Notebooks are available at ChaptersIndigo stores across Canada.

What CanadianParents are saying…

Who can say no to a product that is both Canadian and “Green” - not us! Our kids love these notebooks because they are as much art as they are functional notebooks. We love the inspiration that is tucked inside each front cover (you’ll find everything from quotes to mini bios on notebook designers), the weight of the paper, and most of all, that we are supporting our own economy and the environment. — Peter & Katie G.

I am impressed with the quality and design of this set of notebooks. The small notebook with the quote from Ghandi on it, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” sums up what Pistachio is all about. Good for them for taking the lead on earth friendly products that appeal to kids (and parents) of all ages! — Lori & Cam N.
