Looking for a quick and fun activity to do with the kids this holiday season?  CPO’er miscouchemommy found a perfect alternative to a gingerbread house.

I picked this Wilton Cookie Tree Kit  up the other day at walmart. We’ve never made a gingerbread house, but I have always wanted to do one with the kids. Ii thought this would be a fun and easy alternative.  It comes with various sized star cookie cutters, an icing bag and tips and recipes for the dough and icing.

I did a trial run with grace last night and it was a success!  I’m going to pick up more candy decorations and icing and make another one with all three kids. 

The thing I like about the kit is that with the star cutters, you can use them all year round and not just for Christmas. The kit also contains instructions for a crispy cereal star tree, a jolly gelatin tree and a white Christmas cookie tree.  I think its a great buy, for under $10!  – miscouchemommy
