The fall offers an amazing opportunity to get outdoors and explore with our children. And while some of us gravitate to nature more than others we all want our children to better understand the world in which they live. So to help in that quest, Canada’s own Naturebag Eco-Activities Ltd has developed a unique bag filled with all the tools you’ll need to spark an interest in nature.
“We live in a world where electronics play such a large part in children’s lives that staying connected with the outdoors is all the more important to maintain a psychological and spiritual balance. Naturebag helps you reconnect with nature…” says, Naturebag Eco-Activities Ltd. Founders Katharine Byers and Sylvie de Sousa.
Katharine and Sylvie developed the Naturebag to help families explore the great outdoors. And in producing Naturebag, the company has been conscious of leaving the smallest ecological footprint possible by using recycled, fairtrade and organic materials wherever they could.
Each Naturebag is filled with hands-on, curiosity led games and activities. Here’s what you’ll find in the bag:
- activity booklet
- leaf viewers
- magnifying glass
- colourcards
- pair of binoculars
- hemp twine
- recycled notepad
- bug box
- soy based crayons
- blindfold
- recycled pencil
The Naturebag can be purchased online and in select stores. The company has a fundraising program for schools and daycare centres. You can learn more about Naturebag by visiting www.naturebag.ca.
