I am not sure if I want to start this entry with a cute story or some kind of exciting news. Maybe I will start off by saying that my second day of so-called cleaning didn’t go very well. The kids were stir crazy and Corey had a headache so we ended up having a pretty lazy day. We got out of the house and played in the kiddie pool but no cleaning got done. I managed to keep the kitchen in good shape though despite the fact that DH isn’t that great about picking up after himself. He’s learning though.

I was taking the kids for a walk yesterday through the cemetery and we saw the cutest thing: A Squirrel trying to beat the heat!

He was spread eagle on this gravestone, in the shade trying to keep cool. When we got close to him he barely even moved his head to look at us.
I love being in the cemetery. It’s so peaceful and quiet and it really is an inspiring place when you start to think about all the lives that are laid to rest there and all the experiences they all had in their lives. Maybe I am just weird…but I like it.

Now it’s time for my exciting news.

We might be buying a house!! We got a preapproval yesterday so now it’s just a matter of getting ourselves organzed a bit and looking for a place. I am not getting my hopes up too much but I am still pretty excited.

This is really a dream come true for us. We were hoping that in 5 years we would be able to buy a house but didn’t ever think it could be this close. Corey is getting a second job so that should be enough to keep us afloat. I have a feeling it will be cheaper than we had figured out for a 3 bedroom apartment which was a minimum of $875 for rent alone plus utilities. Even if we end up paying that for a house, at least it’s OUR house.

SO that’s my exciting news of the day. I am getting myself ready to check out the online listings to see what’s going on. Hopefully I find a few homes that spark my interest.

I would also like to take a quick second to thank the Admin team at CPO for the awesome new site!! I got a quick look at the boards this morning before they went back down and I really liked what I was seeing. Can’t wait till it’s all fully up and running!!
